Sunflowers: Geometry, Form and Colour

Have you ever noticed the spirals in a sunflower head, followed the sculpture of its rolling leaves, admired the composite design of its inflorescence, or marveled at its rich colour? Now’s your chance! You will be guided, through composition, proportions, angles, light, shadow and colour.

Nature Journaling: Autumn Sketchbook

Make nature observations as you improve your drawing skills. Drawing a variety of natural objects, you'll explore various drawing and sketching techniques, drawing in proportion, light, shadow, shapes, angles and the logical steps of a drawing.

Autumn Leaf Colour

From brilliant reds and yellows, to subtle greens and ochres, the Autumn change of leaf colour is amazing. You'll be guided in creating these gorgeous colours, layering and deepening them, and blending one colour into another. All levels welcome.

Botanical Harvest

From the rich array of the 2020 fall harvest, the class will choose a botanical subject. Then, together, we will study the shape, form and colour challenges of this particular subject, as you take your artwork from composition to finishing touches. Designed for intermediate to advanced.
